Is it your own crew, or do you farm the move out?
Our own, always. A&T Moving and Hauling runs five trucks out of Spring Valley with our own uniformed crew on W-2 payroll, licensed and insured, with New York household-goods registration and interstate authority on file. Nobody else ever touches your job.
What does a move cost?
A two-mover truck is $155/hr, three movers $215/hr; the minimum is two hours midweek and three on Friday through Sunday. A studio usually runs $525–$680 and a two-bedroom $1,010–$1,450, given as a written band up front. Your $95 deposit is credited to the final bill.
Do you really haul junk too?
Yes, that is the and Hauling part. We clear old furniture, appliances, a hot tub, or a whole garage by the load, from $175, on the same trip as your move or on its own.
Does the written quote actually hold?
It is. We factor the stairs, the long carries, and the heavy pieces into the quote, so what you sign is what you pay.
Do you work around Shabbos and yom tov?
Yes. Many of our Monsey and Spring Valley jobs are scheduled around Shabbos and yom tov, and we plan the date and crew so nothing runs into it.
What if something gets damaged?
Basic coverage is the federal $0.60 per pound by weight, and you can upgrade to full-value protection for roughly 1 to 3 percent of the declared value. Claims can be filed for up to nine months.
